The Dungy Coaching Tree.

After you look at this, I hope you find yourself wondering as I do, WHY THE HELL DID THE GLAZERS FIRE TONY DUNGY.

We know the sugar coated answer, but what has Gruden done to keep his job? Congratulation to Coach Dungy, for taking his team to the Super Bowl "again". This is surely a day that Gruden never wanted to see. Because now we know that Gruden took Dungy’s Buccaneers to the Super Bowl, and Coach Dungy does have what it takes to get to the big game. It might be Gruden who does not have what it takes.

Anyway here it is the Tony Dungy Coaching Tree and it is impressive.

Lovie Smith, Head Coach of the Bears, and besides Dungy became the first of Dungy’s coaches to reach the Super Bowl,

Herm Edwards, Head Coach of the NY JETS and Chiefs

Rod Marinelli, Head Coach of the Lions

Most recently another Dungy disciple, Mike Tomlin, was named head coach of the Steelers.
Tomlin became the fourth new head coach to sprout from the coaching tree that was planted in Tampa, and one who has watched it grow couldn't hide his enthusiasm Monday.

Congratulations to House, The Best Show on TV

Congratulations to Hugh Laurie
Golden Globe Award Winner for Best Actor, Drama!

This is by far the best tv show on television. House, is my favorite show. Hugh Laurie, who plays Dr. Gregory House, a no bedside manner dr., who is a brilliant diagnostician whose unconventional thinking and flawlwss instincts saves lives and affords him respect.

HOUSE has received an Emmy Award for creator and executive producer David Shore (Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series) and a Golden Globe Award for Hugh Laurie (Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series) and, most recently, an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Drama Series. In its second season, the show was honored by the American Film Institute as one of the TV Programs of the Year and received the Peabody Award for Best of Electronic Media in 2005 and the 2006 Humanitas Prize, honoring Shore.

If the show is this good, which I agree it is, why does Fox make it take a back seat to American Idol. Fox has two of the best shows on TV, why not use them on different nights against the other line-ups. Instead every season House goes off the air for the first two weeks of American Idol. Yes, it really pisses me off. Anyway if you have never seen the show, watch it, it is the best show on today.

Bam Bam Bigelow Dies at age 45.

WWE.com is reporting that Scott Bigelow, famously known as Bam Bam Bigelow, was found dead this morning in his home in Florida at the age of 45.

At this time the cause of death is unknown. An autopsy will be performed. Bigelow, 45, worked for WWE, ECW and WCW extensively throughout his 20-year sports-entertainment career. A former ECW Champion, ECW Television Champion and WCW Tag Team Champion, he is perhaps best known for his rivalry with Lawrence Taylor that culminated in the main event of WrestleMania XI in 1995.

Bob Casullo Joins Bucs.

Former Raider, and assistant to Jon Gruden in Oakland, joins Gruden again. Raider, Jet and Seahawk coach Bob Casullo will start Monday as the new tight ends coach, replacing Ron Middleton. I hope this is a good Oakland guy.

Larry Coyer Bucs New Assistant Head Coach.

On Thursday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers named Larry Coyer the team’s new assistant head coach/defensive line coach, completing the changes to its defensive staff for 2007. Larry Coyer, the Denver Broncos’ defensive coordinator for the last four years, comes to the Bucs with 42 years of coaching experience, I don't know much about this guy, but 620am (The Bucs Radio Network's Steve Duemig) told listeners that he would get a hold off John Lynch and get the story on Coyer.

Is this another slap in the face to Buccaneers defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin? The radio station and its listeners say yes. Is this another attempt at Coach Gruden trying to save his job?

Only time will tell.

A Recipe for Failure......

Pictures speak volumes, no words needed.

A Recipe For Success looks like this.

OR:

Your pick?

Have We Seen the End?

The year is 1996 and I am at Houlihan's Stadium for the Buccaneer’s fan fest. Tony Dungy just walked past me on the field, and I was able to get his autograph. The announcer come on and says Tampa Bay Buccaneer fans let me direct your attention to the North center stage at number 40, taken in the 2nd round of the 1996 NFL Draft from Purdue, Tampa Bay Buccaneer fullback, MIKE ALSTOTT. Yes, I was there. I heard his first speech ever as a Buccaneer. This rookie would soon become the most popular player in franchise history.

After 11 season, 6 Pro Bowls, 5,088 rushing yards, and a franchise record of 58 touchdowns, will 2006 be Mike Alstott’s last year? Well according to the Tampa Media. YES!.

“A decision on Alstott's future could be forthcoming. .”

No matter what happens Dogra and Alstott has said that Mike will not move to another team. Alstott’s home is in the Bay Area and he will not move his family. It seems it’s the Bucs or nothing for this great player and community leader. We as fans love number 40, and would love to see him back for another year. I find it sad that after Alstott, Brooks and Barber are gone, the Bucs we know and love for all these years will be over.

No matter what happens, Thank You, Mike for all these great memories, in my opinion you truly are the best Buccaneer to ever wear the uniform and play the game. When you time comes if it is this season or next, you will be missed.
I just wonder what could have been if Coach Dungy would have never been fired and how many Pro-Bowls Mike would have gone to. I know he will probably never make the Hall of Fame, but I think he should. He was truly an amazing player, and his stats show that. It was not until Gruden took over that Mike's number faded. " Mike Alstott is a fullback and he knows his role on this team." YADAYADA YADA, and you wonder why you are 4-12.

TNA Final Resolution Coverage:

http://www.411mania.com/wrestling/livecoverage

Who will win between Samoa Joe vs Kurt Angle.

The Real Cutthroat Pirate in the Flesh.

Yep, this is the real cutthroat pirate in the flesh. I have a love of power lifting and body building. This is a recent photo of me, I weigh in at 220 lbs. I will be posting my work out and supplements on here later.

I bench press 405, and squat 505. I military press 225. I don’t do cleans and jerks anymore, and I have also stopped dead lifting due to age and I don’t need to anymore.
I am also a student of the game, and any help and suggestions are welcomed. Any questions feel free to ask. My nursing degree is also coming in handy with weight training and nutrition.

I want the Bucs to hire this guy?

What were the Glazer's smoking? And why does it taste like black twizzlers mixed with lemon juice?

Tony Dungy would look good in a Bucs colors (AGAIN). That's right, Tony Dungy.

Thanks SKI for the inspiration on this post www.bestbucsblog.blogspot.com

Dungy Won with BUC BALL.

Congratulation to Coach Tony Dungy and the Colts.

Oh what I would give to have Coach Dungy Back.

Lets compare: Dungy joined the Colts after being the most successful head coach in Tampa Bay history. Dungy coached the Buccaneers from 1996-2001, compiling a 54-42 regular season record and earning four playoff appearances in six seasons. In the 10 seasons before Dungy’s arrival, the Buccaneers were 43-111 with nine double-digit loss seasons.

In 1997, Dungy was named Professional Coach of the Year by the Maxwell Football Club after guiding the Buccaneers to a 10-6 record and a wild card playoff victory over Detroit.

Under Dungy, the Buccaneers won the NFC Central in 1999, their first division championship in 18 seasons (1981) and then the third in franchise history (1979, 1981). Also that season, the Buccaneers came within a late drive of playing in the Super Bowl, losing to eventual champion St. Louis, 11-6. Tampa Bay was one of only two teams in 1999 to hold the Rams under 15 points.

During Dungy’s tenure, the Buccaneers quickly developed into one of the NFL’s stingiest defenses. In 2001, they were one of two teams to hold the Rams below 20 points. They finished sixth in the NFL in total defense and were eighth in the league in points allowed with 280. In 2000, the club set a team record with 55 sacks.

Then the unexpected happened, the Glazers got greedy and fired Dungy for what? WINNING and Making the PLAYOFFS. They did this only to take them to the Promise land. Sure Gruden won us a Championship, but it was Dungy’s Defense that won that Super Bowl. Gruden has now destroyed a great team and a great Defense. Gruden is a losing coach, while Dungy continues to win and make the playoffs every year.

Tony Dungy entered his fifth season as head coach of the Indianapolis Colts. Dungy took the helm of the club on January 22, 2002, after serving six seasons with Tampa Bay. Dungy has directed the Colts to a 60-20 regular-season record, Five playoff appearances, Four AFC South titles and Two AFC Championship game during his five seasons in Indianapolis. The club was 10-6 in his initial season, and he guided the Colts to 12-4, 12-4 and 14-2 division-winning seasons in 2003, 2004 and 2005. Dungy helped the club defend a divisional crown for three consecutive seasons for the first time since 1975-77.

Gruden’s record as the Bucs Head Coach is 39- 41 regular season record. Sure in 2002, he won the NFC Championship game and the Super Bowl. (But it is argued that it is Dungy’s team that won.) I never believed that but, I am starting to, and if Dungy gets to the Super Bowl and hell what if his Colts win the Super Bowl the talk will then surely start. Gruden’s legacy could be in trouble. 2003, NO POST SEASON. 2004, NO POST SEASON. 2005, we returned to POST SEASON and won the NFC SOUTH CHAMPION TITLE, only to lose in the wild card game against the Redskins. Then we hit rock bottom this season with 4-12. AND GRUDEN KEEPS HIS JOB WHY?

Possible Coach Trade?

Profootballtalk.com is reporting that it might be the end of the Brian Billick era. They are even reporting that a trade suggesting that one of the close-but-no-cigar squads might want to make a run at Jon Gruden. Given that the big-defense, no-offense Ravens are a lot like the pre-Gruden Buccaneers, maybe Bisciotti tries to pull off the swap. Gruden is said to be the best coach for a one year fix.

Most league observers assume that Bucs coach Jon Gruden won't be fired by the team because, to date, he hasn't been.
But a league source tells us that the Glazer family, which owns the team, has some lingering concerns regarding
the current structure, and that "something still could happen" with Gruden. What that "something" is remains to be seen. Maybe he would be fired, maybe he would be allowed to leave. We continue to be intrigued by the possibility that the Chargers, Ravens, and/or Colts (at least one of which
will lose this weekend) could consider making a change. Given the manner in which Gruden arrived at Tampa and took a chronically close-but-no-cigar club
to a championship in one year, we wouldn't be shocked at all if someone considers making a switch to the perpetually pissed-off coach.Of course, the problem is that, if one of these other teams makes a move, they'll need to hold the cards close to the vest, since compliance with the Rooney Rule is mandatory.
Five years ago, Gruden jumped to the Bucs from the Raiders.
Oakland got two first-round picks, two second-round picks, and $8 million.

WWE HALL OF FAME

http://www.wwe.com/superstars/halloffame/

Pro-wrestling, you can call it fake, you can call it real, no matter what it is, I have been a fan since I could walk.

I still remember my first live match, my dad took my brother and I to the Civic Center where for the first time I saw Ric Flair vs Rufus R. Jones. Ric Flair was of course the champ and won. Every since then I have been hooked. I will also let you know that Ric Flair is my favorite all time wrestler.

Back to the Hall of Fame: Each year in April, the Super Bowl of Wrestling takes place known as Wrestlemania. The night before Wrestlemania is the Hall of Fame ceremony. Where superstars like Hulk Hogan, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Jimmy Snuka, Bret Hart, and many others have been inducted. In fact it is so big, that in 2005, close friend to Hulk Hogan, Sylvester Stallone inducted him into the Hall of Fame.

This year Hall of Fame class is still unknown and is kept secret. However the cats is out of the bag. Hulk Hogan who lives in Florida and is a regular on the Bubba the Love Sponge Radio Show, received a phone call from Vince McMahon's secretary Ann Russo. Russo was calling Hogan to let him know about the candidates for this year's WWE Hall of Fame ceremony and wanted to know who he thought should be inducted. Little did Russo know that she was live on the Air during the phone call. So the list of possible names is out and they are: The Von Erichs, Ultimate Warrior, The Original Sheik, Ric Flair, Mr. Fuji, Nick Bockwinkel, Muhammed Ali, Mr. T, Mike Tyson, Howard Finkel, Jim Ross, Ken Patera, King Curtis, Ted DiBiase, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Honky Tonk Man, Randy Savage, Dusty Rhodes, Dick Ebersol (NBC Executive responsible for creation of Saturday Night's Main Event), The Wild Samoans, Big Boss Man, Bob Backlund, Rick Rude, The Bushwhackers, Rocky Johnson and The Brooklyn Brawler.

What I found interesting is that here is the wrestles that Hogan indorsed. Hogan named off Big Boss Man, King Curtis, Dusty Rhodes, Randy Savage, The Wild Samoans, The Von Erichs, Rick Rude and The Bushwhackers. What about Ric Flair? I guess it is because Flair still is considered an active wrestler. I would not think that Hogan is keeping Flair back since they are the two biggest names in the business. So needless to say Vince McMahon is pissed that this has been released. I would not be surprised if a new list is not created.

"watch you gonna do brother, When the Hulkster ruins the secret for the Hall of Fame."

Donald Trump vs. Rosie O'Donnell

Trump slams Rosie on Letterman

WWE RAW Rosie O'Donnell vs. Donald Trump

Here is the fake fight on WWE RAW between Rosie and Trump.

It keeps on Coming.

Bucs GM hints on WDAE that Hackett could have a head coaching job somewhere. For those that don't know Hackett is the Buccaneers Quarterback Coach. Sure I know the QB situation in Tampa is sad, but Hackett is one of the best.

Casey "Gus" Bradley will replace Joe Barry as Tampa Bay's new linebackers coach, the team announced Friday evening.Bradley served as a quality control coach in 2006. Before that he was an assistant for 10 years at North Dakota State."I was very impressed with Gus' attention to detail and his innovative approach to coaching," said Bucs head coach Jon Gruden.According to a report in Thursday's Tampa Tribune, Buccaneer quarterbacks coach Paul Hackett may be leaving Tampa Bay to become the Packers offensive coordinator. But Friday on WDAE, Buccaneer GM Bruce Allen told morning host Dan Sileo that Hackett may be in line for a head coaching job somewhere. Allen added that it was "premature" to say that Hackett is leaving for Green Bay.Green Bay fired Jeff Jagodzinski. Hackett's contract ends at the end of the month. Last year when Mike McCarthy become Green Bay's head coach he wanted to speak with Hackett, but the Bucs denied him the opportunity. If Hackett leaves he would become the fourth coach to depart this offseason.

Up to date.

How about those Florida Gators. Congrats to the Gators. I have never been a huge College Football fan, but living here in the bay area, I had to support the Gators and watch the game. WOW, and I am glad I did! That had to be one of the best games I have ever seen.

Now for WWE news, I am not sure what Vince McMahon is thinking as of late. The WWE has taken part in the Donald Trump vs. Rosie O'Donnell feud. They even had look a likes and hosted a match on Monday Night Raw. Which was very lame.

The match did get national coverage as "Entertainment Tonight" made a brief mention about the match this week, while "Good Morning America" aired 30 seconds of the match. Neither show had anything negative to say about the segment. Howard Stern also talked about the segment on his show this week and said it was awful and called Monday Night Raw lame." I will post the Donald Trump on Letterman, and I will try to find the WWE fake wrestling match with Trump vs Rosie. The whole fight started when Rosie on "The View", Rosie O'Donnell took aim at Donald Trump after he held a press conference and announced that despite allegations of underage drinking, drug use and sexually explicit behavior, Tara Conner would enter rehab and retain her crown.

I must worn you she is hot. I am on Donald's side on this one. SHE IS NOT FIRED.

The new and improved blog.

Cutthroat is back from the dead, well not really. I am still in nursing school and still in the top of the class. Its been a challenge to date, but I will survive.
As you have noticed, I am changing my blog. I am tired of the same old Buccaneer Blog. I felt limited about what I could write about, and lets face it there was not really much to write about with the Bucs this season. Never fear, I would never abandoned my beloved Bucs. I am just adding spice to my blog. I have many loves, and this blog will cover most of them now. It will be about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, my love for Pro-wrestling to include the classics days of wrestling, and wrestling entertainment as it is today. I will discuss my love of weight lifting and power lifting with my workouts, supplements, and diets. I will include more photos and videos then ever before. I will talk about the NFL, and fantasy football. So bare with me as I bring it all to you like never before.

Raheem is back.

The Buccaneers are already working on fixing the defense from last season. Tuesday marked the second consecutive day where the Bucs let someone go, relieving defensive line coach Jethro Franklin of his duties. Today Greg Burns, in being fired after just one season in Tampa Bay. After one season as the defensive coordinator at Kansas State, Raheem Morris is rejoining the Bucs to lead a secondary intent on regaining its spot among the league’s elite
